The Star Gospel Mission is Charleston’s oldest not-for-profit Christian welfare organization serving the homeless and needy in the community since 1904.
Our mission is to transform hearts and lives through Jesus Christ. We provide transitional housing for homeless men and respond to the needs of the community by offering food, rental assistance, utility assistance, emergency medical and transportation assistance. Our principle response is to homeless men who are working, or who have a steady source of income.
