The Summerville Food Bank started in May 2014 when the founder and pastor of First Fruits Community Church had the vision to feed families who were in need of groceries within the surrounding communities.
Starting by feeding a family here and there, more people began hearing about the churches outreach ministry. In Early 2015, Pastor Abraham Belanger appointed a chairman over the Summerville Food Bank and is currently working to have this ministry receive its 501c3 status as a stand alone non-profit company that services the community in which it resides. The Summerville Food Bank is an official ministry of the First Fruits Community Church family and all contributions made to it goes into the church budget to support this arm of the ministry.
It is our desire as we grow to reach, feed, and encourage families with great compassion.
